The terms white, dark and red meat are changing from place to place and year to year. As it is right NOW domesticated rabbits are considered "the other other white meat" due to the fact they have very little fat in the meat, are easily digested, high in protein, and its low in cholesterol. This makes a great substitute for chicken. To alot of people however, they are still going by the color of the meat after it is cooked, which would make rabbit a dark meat as well. It's all on how you choose to look at it. :)
