Cake Recipe help? Read more(:?

My grandmother, thinks this cake is real, but I don't know. It's called pull apart cake, she says it's angle food base, once it rises (Whal still raw) it will rise like bread, push it down, and roll it it into little balls, dip them in butter, roll in cinnamon sugar, then let rise again, but she doesn't know anything else. Anyone know anything about this?
